Books, fashion and limited-edition items at the first Karl Lagerfeld concept store

The first Karl Lagerfeld store opened its doors in Paris with the unveiling of the first line of Lagerfeld’s watches and an immersive digital experience. Located in the heart of St Germain des Près in Paris, the new concept store occupies two floors, totaling over 2,150-square feet. Fashionistas will have fashion collections, but also a special selection of books, accessories, and limited-edition items.

The fans were able to follow the opening celebration online, via Karl Lagerfeld’s website and Facebook page. Under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld, one of the world’s most influential and iconic designers, the Lagerfeld Portfolio includes: Karl, a line “aimed at a cosmopolitan and digitally-savvy clientele, launched exclusively online”; the premium ready-to-wear collection Karl Lagerfeld Paris and Lagerfeld – the menswear line for everyday, urban living.

Karl Lagerfeld works with a variety of prestigious and accessible brands on high-profile projects. These include the design of a collection of tableware with the Swedish crystal manufacturer Orrefors, a co-branding initiative with Coca-Cola, the design of writing instruments and lighters for S.T. Dupont, and a ready-to-wear capsule collection and accessories for Hogan, to name but a few.

The Karl Lagerfeld company has been part of the portfolio of the British investment fund, Apax Partners, since 2006.
