Audi electric-powered Wörthersee bike

Audi e-Bike Concept to Debut in Austria

Audi’s Wörthersee e-bike is the first electric sports bike and the most powerful e-bike ever made, according to the car manufacturer from Ingolstadt. The electric motor mounted on an entirely carbon fiber framework (carbon fibre-reinforced polymer) produces 2.3 kW (3.12 hp) with a 184lb/ft of torque at the rear wheel.

Wörthersee E-bike concept was created 100% by Audi designers using the most advanced materials. The total mass of the e-byke concept is 21 kg. The electric bike uses three different modes that can be switched to turn off the electric motor (Pure mode), to turn on the electric motor (“eGrip” mode) and to use both the electric motor and the pedalling power (Pedalec mode).

“As a high-performance e-bike for sports and trick cycling, it features the Audi core competences of design, ultra, e-tron and connect,” explained Audi’s Head of Design Wolfgang Egger.
