2014 Miami Boat Show: Aquila 44 Power Catamaran launched and cruising

Continuing the pedigree first born through the Aquila 48, Sino Eagle Yacht announced hull #1 of the new, custom designed Aquila 44 power catamaran. This little sister to the popular Aquila 48 (launched at the Miami Boat Show, 2013) is the latest power catamaran designed by the team and the first units ordered are slotted for MarineMax Vacations’ BVI charter fleet.

The Aquila 44 boasts a very innovative interior layout that features a master cabin that spans the full width of its 21 foot beam; a feature not seen before on a boat of 44 ft. long. She also offers 360 degree views from the salon and galley, large staterooms equipped with en-suite head and separate shower, as well the oversized flybridge with Aquila’s signature multiple access points to and from the deck. She has been built to CE Certification, Category A which is the recognized International standard for recreational boats.

“Bringing another new product to the market, and continuing to gain traction globally with our pure-bred power catamarans, requires the world’s top talent and we are honored to have the collaborated effort of MarineMax in the USA, J&J design group in Slovenia, and our own talented team in the USA and China to continue to grow Aquila,” said Frank Xiong, CEO of Sino Eagle Group.

The first Aquila 44’s will be in the MarineMax Vacations charter fleet as a MarineMax 443. This version features 3 cabins and 3 heads, a spacious salon and galley, as well as included upgrades like her induction stove top. Volvo Diesel engines were also chosen for their robustness and modern diesel technology.

The Aquila 44 / MarineMax 443 is presented for the first time at the 2014 Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show from February 13th to 17th at the CruiserPort display on Collins Avenue.
