Superyacht design concept Blue Peace by Aras Kazar

Yacht Designer Aras Kazar imagined a 42 metre superyacht inspired by flying fish, a unique species called “Piscis Volans”.
“As with my previous yacht designs I have continued to create “earth friendly” concepts with solar panels placed as wings on both sides of the yacht. These panels can be open when the yacht is not moving, while underway they will be closed. The panels convert sunlight into enough electricity for the whole yacht,” said Aras Kazat to superyachttimes.
Motor yacht Blue Peace will be built out of a combination of three materials: aluminium and wood for the hull, while the superstructure is a combination of aluminium and glass. Thanks to three 6,300hp engines, the superyacht can reach a speed of 40 knots, while cruising at 7 knots, she has a range of 1,700 nautical miles.
Flying fish that inspired Blue Peace creation can be seen jumping out of warm ocean waters worldwide. Their streamlined torpedo shape helps them gather enough underwater speed to break the surface, and their large, wing-like pectoral fins get them airborne.
